Key Responsibilities
The successful candidates will be responsible for:
- Interpreting welding process specifications.
- Operating manual, semi-automatic, and fully automated welding equipment.
- Reading and interpreting welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and processes.
- Examining completed welds to ensure they meet required standards and specifications.
- Operating manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment.
- Operating brakes, shears, and other metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines.
- Fitting, brazing, and torch-straightening metal.
- Operating oxygen arc cutting equipment, including arc-air/AOC equipment.
- Determining the weldability of different materials.
- Operating hoisting and lifting equipment.
- Operating previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products.
- Operating previously set-up brazing or soldering machines to bond metal or fill holes, indentations, and seams.
- Starting, shutting down, adjusting, and monitoring robotic welding production lines.
- Maintaining welding, brazing, and soldering equipment.
- Performing minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment.
- Following workplace safety procedures and company requirements.
