Key Responsibilities

The successful candidates will be responsible for:

  • Interpreting welding process specifications.
  • Operating manual, semi-automatic, and fully automated welding equipment.
  • Reading and interpreting welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and processes.
  • Examining completed welds to ensure they meet required standards and specifications.
  • Operating manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment.
  • Operating brakes, shears, and other metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines.
  • Fitting, brazing, and torch-straightening metal.
  • Operating oxygen arc cutting equipment, including arc-air/AOC equipment.
  • Determining the weldability of different materials.
  • Operating hoisting and lifting equipment.
  • Operating previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products.
  • Operating previously set-up brazing or soldering machines to bond metal or fill holes, indentations, and seams.
  • Starting, shutting down, adjusting, and monitoring robotic welding production lines.
  • Maintaining welding, brazing, and soldering equipment.
  • Performing minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment.
  • Following workplace safety procedures and company requirements.
